HONORS
SASQUATCH WRISTWATCH
WINS PANCAKE LEAGUE BATTLE
Chicago's Barehand Jugband
- the 2010 Pancake League champion- (below) came back to win the 29th
Annual
Battle of the Jug Bands, whilst the Sasquatch Wristwatch (above) took
home the Coveted
Griddle on Saturday's Pancake League Competition.

Twenty
bands competed in last year's Main Event Waffle League battle for
the coveted HolliwoodŽ Waffle Iron trophy, graciously passed from the
2011 winners The Roe Family Singers.
Crowds of jug band fans gathered to
schmooze, listen to jugband music, and enjoy the
potluck, which. it turns out, has a life of its own.
The
night before, nine bands gathered at the Corner Bar on Seven Corners
for the first-ever expansion of the Annual Battle to two days with the
inauguration of the Pancake League. The following bands were cited by
the judging team:

The Potluck Has Returned:
It
takes a lot of nourishment to keep up the strength for hours of the
best jugs, kazoos and washtubs this side of the North Coast. So do your
part to be
a good jugband citizen and bring something to nosh on for the traditional
battle potluck at the Nomad on
Saturday night and the Cabooze on Sunday afternoon - your favorite hot
dish, a can of olives, some pretzels,
what ever - elaborate or simple - it makes no difference, it's all
good!
Now, don't forget to pitch in to keep the tables tidy..
